Pollinator Story: American Honey Producers Association
As an association that supports commercial beekeepers we have tried to work on big picture items, like habitat (CRP) and roadsides, in making more habitat for pollinators through legislative action. By pollinating 1/3 of the nation's food supply we assure that less imported food is brought into our country which protects the american consumer from food fraud and or health risks and protects our nation's food security. We also help direct and secure funding for bee research to try to achieve President Obama's pollinator plan's goal of 15% annual losses.
